| What non-profit or volunteer experience have you had? (Please include how you can help TCKID, what skills you have, etc) | I have did five years of missions with at risk inner city youth in TN. I also spent five years in Benin, West Africa where I spent a lot of time mentoring and encouraging MKs and other TCKs. While in New Orleans, we mentored and helped young adults get off the streets. I have done a lot of volunteer work for Tennessee Immigrant and Refugee Coalition and did a summer internship with them. I have also done some volunteer work for the Kurdish American Youth Association here in Nashville. I am passionate about mentoring and empowering youth and young adults, especially TCKs! I have done a lot of research on TCK issues and want to keep learning all that I can to better help them. I took an eight month course with IPec to become a Life Empowerment Coach. I would love to be used in any way to support and mentor TCKs. |
